Rescue
& Rehabilitation

Wet Nose is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals, offering a second chance at a loving home.

Advocacy for the
Right to Life

As a Right to Life animal shelter, we prioritize the well-being of our animals and only consider euthanasia when it is in the best interest of the animal's suffering. We provide a safe haven for dogs, cats, horses, and more.

Community-Powered
Support & Solidarity

Wet Nose operates without government or municipal funding, relying on the generosity of the animal-loving public. Whether you adopt, donate, sponsor, or utilize our services, your support directly contributes to the care and well-being of over 600 animals in our shelter.

Where Compassion Meets Action

Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre has been finding animal homes and saving pets since July 1999. Wet Nose is a registered non-profit animal welfare organization devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming; of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

Wet Nose is a Right to Life animal shelter, which means that we do not put animals to sleep unless they are suffering, and it is in the best interest of that animal. Instead, we provide shelter for dogs, cats, horses, and many more. Our welfare centre provides care for over 600 animals until we find them a forever home; no matter how long it takes!

Wet Nose does all this as well as Pretoria dog, cat, and horse rescue without any government or municipal funding and survives on the generosity of the animal-loving public, as well as what we can generate through our small ventures such as our shops, animal hospital, party venues, etc. Whether you adopt a pup, donate, sponsor, make use of our Animal Clinic and shops, or have a function or kiddies party at Wet Nose, you know your support is going straight to all our rescue babies.

The Wet Nose Equestrian Centre opened in October 2019. The need for this was great because there was a necessity to rescue horses, donkeys, and farm animals in despair.

Wet Nose has also opened the doors of the Animal Clinic, providing the community with affordable animal care for their pets. In addition, supporting our Clinic means that you will also be aiding our efforts in providing sanctuary to over 600 animals at the shelter, as all the proceeds from our Clinic go straight into the care of the Shelter Animals!

Donate

Wet Nose needs to raise enough money every month to cover their overheads. It’s not just a matter of feeding the animals – every animal gets sterilized, de-wormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and any other medical treatment they may need, including expensive operations from time to time. Every donation made to Wet Nose is used to save a pet!

REMEMBER – ALL CASH DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE AND A SECTION 18A TAX CERTIFICATE CAN BE ISSUED UPON REQUEST, DUE TO OUR NPO STATUS.
